With a Video Demo (.cpvc), how do you publish it with the playback control included?

Version: 6 for Windows
OS: Vista

I know Captivate through version 5 pretty well but just recently started using version 6.

I inherited a Video Demo file (.cpvc) that I now need to edit and publish.

Is there a way to publish a Video Demo (.cpvc) file with the playback control included?

I appreciate your help.

Thanks!

  • CPVC publishes to MP4 and that is pure video; you can use any video player for it. The normal playbar of Captivate files (that publish to SWF or HTML and are interactive) has not so much sense because there are no 'slides'. How do you want to distribute the published file? If you want the Captivate playbar, you can insert the published MP4 into a normal cptx-file as an event video. It will be converted to FLV but you'll get the control panel for video in that case.

  • O.K., great, I just wanted to make sure I couldn't add a playback bar so that it appeared in a published .mp4 file without importing it into a .cptx. The person who did the recording didn't realize that they shouldn't have used the Video Demo option unless she knew we would be using a video player.

    Thanks, I appreciate it!
